Bon Secours St. Francis Health System opened a new freestanding emergency department Feb. 25 in Greenville County’s rapidly growing Five Forks area.
The $23 million, 12,500-square-foot facility at 2814 Woodruff Road features nine exam rooms, including a dedicated trauma room, along with on-site CT and X-ray imaging. The new center will offer patients 24-hour access to a wide range of emergency medical services.
The new facility follows the 2022 opening of the county’s first freestanding emergency department in Simpsonville and a new medical center in Fountain Inn in 2024 — also part of Bon Secours St. Francis Health System. Bon Secours also recently broke ground on a medical campus in Powdersville.
In a statement announcing the opening, Bon Secours St. Francis Health System President Matt Caldwell said the new facility was aimed at providing high-quality emergency care to families close to where they live to reduce the need to travel during critical moments.
