ARCpoint Labs surprised the National Alliance on Mental Illness – Greenville (NAMI Greenville) with a check for $25,000 on Thursday, Dec. 31. NAMI Greenville had been informed that the donation would be for $10,000.
ARCpoint Labs provides diagnostic testing for individuals, companies and health care professionals, including COVID-19 testing, DNA, drug and alcohol, and clinical blood testing. The company’s corporate headquarters is located in Greenville, and the company has over 100 locations across the U.S. — three of which are in the Upstate.
“Our mental health system is stretched and overextended, in large part due to the pandemic,” said John Constantine, CEO of ARCpoint Franchise Group, in a release. “A lot of people are experiencing fear, anxiety and increased stress, which can also lead to increases in alcohol and substance use. The team of staff and volunteers at NAMI Greenville are working harder than ever, with fewer resources, to help people through these tough times. This is our way of saying thank you and doing what we can to support their mission.”
NAMI Greenville is a nonprofit organization that provides various mental health services. Contributions to the organization have decreased over the year, while the need for their services has increased, according to the release.

The donation will go toward helping upgrade technology at the organization so the group can stay connected to the community through online training, online support groups and education classes, Ken Dority, executive director of NAMI Greenville, told the Greenville Journal.
“It’s really going to be a real big improvement for the way we serve,” he said.
