Bob Jones University will host its annual Living Gallery April 2-4 in Rodeheaver Auditorium on its campus at 1700 Wade Hampton Blvd. in Greenville.
This year’s theme is The Holy Women at the Tomb in 1890.
It was painted in William-Adolphe Bouguereau’s signature smooth and detailed academic style, according to the university. The piece reflects the clarity, idealized figures and precise technique characteristic of 19th‑century academic art. The radiant angel emphasizes the announcement of Christ’s resurrection.
A behind-the-scenes look at preparations for the Living Gallery was held March 20. Visit this link for more information.
