A ribbon cutting was held April 23 for the renovated Nicholtown Community Center at 115 Rebecca St. in Greenville. The renovation of the 6,048-square-foot facility began in spring 2025.
The improvements included:
- Multi-use field and walking track
- Outdoor fitness and playground equipment
- New shelters, parking lot and upgrades to the existing parking
- New basketball hoops, court surface, lighting and fencing
- New interior room design
The center is also set up to serve as a shelter for neighbors during extreme weather events.
