Mission Statement
Greenville Theatre strives to inspire, educate, entertain and connect our community through necessary art and storytelling. Our goal is to provide the highest quality regional theater experience for the Upstate community.
Impact
Greenville Theatre, founded in 1926, is the Upstate’s oldest and largest professional theater company. Our 571-seat proscenium theater has entertained audiences from our artistic home located on Heritage Green since 1967. As we approach our 100th anniversary, we are celebrating our past, honoring our present and looking toward the future. Through our main stage shows and Greenville Theatre on Tour educational programming, we are able to reach over 45,000 theatergoers and 25,000 students annually.

Volunteer Opportunities
Box office: Help distribute tickets at will call before the show and also enjoy the night’s performance.
Ushering team: Help individuals find their seats, assist in post-show clean up and also enjoy the night’s performance.
Backstage: Assist our technical staff with set building, painting, props, lighting and costumes for upcoming performances. Join in backstage by assisting the crew that makes each show happen. Backstage crew can vary from helping with quick changes to scene shifts to running a spotlight.
Giving Opportunities
As with most arts organizations, ticket sales cover only a portion of Greenville Theatre’s costs, and our productions would not be possible without additional financial contributions from our community. These corporate and individual investments have a major impact on the arts, which then have a major impact on all of us.
- There are many ways to support Greenville Theatre:
